Domestic Animals

If you are having a problem with a domestic animal, such as a dog or a cat, please contact your county animal services or your local Humane Society. Creature Control does not handle stray dogs or stray cats, nor do we "put down" sick dogs or cats. However, we will pick up and remove domestic cats that have become mad or are potentially rabid; we also handle feral cats.

Most domestic animal problems should be referred to your county animal control services or your local Humane Society. The Humane Society is the nation's largest animal protection organization. They perform animal rescue and emergency response; and providing care to animals through sanctuaries, emergency shelters, wildlife rehabilitation centers, and clinics. The Humane Society can also give you information regarding stray dogs, stray cats, spay & neuter programs, licensing, heartworm treatments, pet adoption, bite reports, deceased pets, lost pets, local animal complaints and to report neglected or abused animals.
